Governance structure
Primary Care Commissioning Committee
The CCG has established a Primary Care Commissioning Committee to oversee governance and make decisions on the commissioning and contracting of services from general practices. The membership of this committee is set out in the national Terms of Reference. The constitution includes lay members, as a majority and one GP. This configuration will ensure that any conflicts of interest are minimised. 
Members of the Commissioning Committee are shown below:

  • Nicki Allen – Executive Assistant & Note Taker
  • Rob Parker – Lay Member responsible for Audit & Governance
  • Simon Trickett – Chief Operating Officer
  • Dr Carl Ellson – Chief Clinical Officer
  • Lucy Noon – Director of Corporate & Organisational Development
  • Mark Dutton – Chief Finance Officer
  • Lynda Dando – Head of Primary Care Development
  • Frances Howie – Local Authority Head of Public Health Department Member
  • Councillor Hannah Campbell – Health & Wellbeing Board Member
  • Jo Ringshall – Health Watch Lay Member
  • Independent GP – still vacant
Terms of Reference

Primary Care Clinical Advisory Group
The Primary Care Clinical Advisory Group has been set up to support the Primary Care Co-commissioning Committee by advising on policy, deliverability and effectiveness of proposals.
The members will facilitate a collaborative approach in arriving at place based commissioning ensuring high quality primary care is delivered to all our patients in South Worcestershire
The Advisory Group’s current membership is shown below:

  • Dr David Sutherland – St Saviours Surgery
  • Dr James Rankin – Pershore Medical Practice
  • Dr Gemma Moore – Ombersley Practice
  • Richard Allen – Business Manager, Abbey Medical Practice
  • Dr Simon Parkinson – Local Medical Committee

You can also be involved by joining your GP Practice’s Patient Participation Group (PPG) – please ask your Practice Manager.
